**IMPORTANT INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING INFORMATION**

Custom policies vary, possibly delaying delivery of your order/package. Also, some countries may charge a tariff (duty &/or taxes). As we aren't aware of each countries policies regarding tariff's, we do not know if there will be fees. You are responsible for paying additional duties, taxes and applicable customs brokerage fees put into place by your country. You will be charged these additional fees once you receive your package.

We suggest when you inquire to ask if your wig is exempt as wigs are often classed as a medical prosthesis.

If your country is known to delay deliveries at your border then we suggest choosing one of the FED EX or UPS options. Shipping rates will be calculated accordingly. Please call us to use either of these alternative options or if you have any questions at 916-804-1337.

3What is the warranty on human hair and synthetic hair products?

The warranties are determined by the manufacturers, as they can vary. Due to the nature there can not be a specific time of warranty as there can be so many variables.

We stand behind our workmanship & materials, however, ensuring you get the most life out of your wig or hairpiece is a shared responsibility. There are many ways to damage a high quality, fine hair wig. Examples include damage with hot hair care tools, harsh chemicals, bad haircuts, salon treatments, coloring, perming, build-up of oil and direct residue, aggressive grooming, and many other serious risks. Correct maintenance is the best long-term solution. We are not a salon, however there are many specified advisory tools on Google and YouTube. Please inquire with us if you have any questions as we can get more information directly from the manufacturers to best serve you.

    • Update the quantity of an item with the "Update" button.
    • Continue shopping by using your browser's "Back" button.
  3. When you're ready to place your order, click on the "Checkout" icon at the top of your screen, then follow the on-screen instructions.
2What if I can't find what I'm looking for?

We can get virtually any hairgood product you want. Please note that emails sent on Saturday or Sunday will be responded to on Monday.

3How do I know if a product is available?

We have a huge inventory available to us so we often have the item in stock. Items that are not in stock will be ordered the same day we receive the order, and usually are received in one to three business days.

Occasionally an item is backordered for an extended period of time in which case we will notify you of the status and the expected due date. Please note that our Email and Web Departments are closed on Saturday and Sunday.

4What color should I order?

Choosing a wig color can be tricky, especially when your only guideline is a color chart viewed on your computer monitor. If you have bought wigs before you may already know the exact color you want. But if you're choosing a color for the first time, please remember that color charts can never be 100% accurate and computer monitors vary.

We recommend that you buy a Color Ring to help you choose the best color. A color ring consists of individual swatches of fiber in various colors. Each manufacturer uses its own color system, so be sure to choose the color ring for the brand you're interested in. When you're done with the color ring you may return it for full store credit (no re-stocking fee will be deducted). Another option is to send us a small hair sample and ask us to find the closest available color match.

Many people call and ask us to choose a color for them. It is nearly impossible to choose the right color for someone over the phone! We can make suggestions, but we cannot guarantee that our suggestions will work for you. Any time you order a color without first seeing it on a wig or color ring, you are taking a risk. Please note that your credit upon return of the ring will be applied to your purchase price. Viewing a color ring will insure that the color you order is the color you want!

13I sent you an email and I never got a response. Why?

Wig FAQs

1How Do I Take Head Measurements?

Most wig caps are adjustable. By adjusting the elastic straps, you can make the cap tighter or looser. But if you would like your wig to be made to fit your head, please follow these easy instructions.

To measure the circumference of your head for a wig, take the tape measure and place it at the middle of your forehead at the hairline. Then run the tape around the head, behind one ear, around the nape of the neck, behind the other ear, then back to the front at the hairline. *(More detailed instructions below).

If your size falls between Ultra Petite and Petite you should order Petite, otherwise the wig may slide off. You can almost always alter to a smaller size.

*To measure the circumference of your head for a wig, take the tape measure and place it at the middle of your forehead at the hairline. Then run the tape around the head, behind one ear, around the nape of the neck, behind the other ear, then back to the front at the hairline.

There are 3 primary measurements:

Head Circumference: This measures the distance around your head. Starting at the center of the front hairline, place the tape flat against your head, going just above the ear towards the back of the head, keeping the tape at the nape of your neck and go around to the opposite side of your head, just above the opposite ear and returning to the center of the front hairline. This is the head circumference measurement. If you only make one measurement, this is the one you need.

Front to Nape: This measures the length of your head from the front to the nape of your neck. To determine where the nape of your neck is, tilt your head back and look up. Where your neck bends and may even develop a skin fold, is where your nape is. You want the bottom of the wig to sit right above this area so that when you do tilt your head back that far, your wig will not shift on your head. This area is often right at the occipital bone, but be sure to take the measurement with your neck bent down so that you are looking at your shoes. Starting at the front hairline, measure directly across the middle top of your head to the area that you have determined is your nape.

Ear to Ear: Measure your head from the top of one ear, over the crown to the top of the other ear.

Your wig should settle into your natural hairline. The back of the wig should come down to the natural hairline (nape) in the back. Most wigs have an adjustable tabs or Velcro strips in the back. These tabs allow you to adjust the circumference of your wig for the best and most comfortable fit.

2What Type Of Hair Are Used In Wigs & Hair Pieces?

Synthetic Fiber:
Synthetic fiber is the most inexpensive and low maintenance of all "hair" fibers. The synthetic materials used in hairpieces today are extremely natural looking. Made of acrylic/modacrylic filaments, synthetic fiber holds shape and color better than natural hair. Wigs made with synthetic fiber are more or less permanently set in style. Curls and waves do not need to be reset, although you can use rollers to enhance or alter the style to some extant. This easy-care quality makes synthetic-fiber wigs a wonderful option for everyday wear. Synthetic fiber will melt or singe if it comes in contact with excessive heat, so curling irons must be avoided.

There is new lightweight fiber developed by Aspen that is designed to withstand high temperatures--up to 350 degrees F (twice the range of regular synthetic hair). It is easy to brush and tends not to frizz in warm weather. You can find this in Aspen's Imagination Collection wigs.

Human Hair:
Human hair is, of course, the most natural looking fiber used in wigs and hairpieces, and it can be styled and tinted as with natural, growing hair. It is also more expensive than synthetic fiber. Depending on the type of human hair used, the cost ranges from moderate to very expensive.

Most of the human hair used in wigs and hairpieces has had the cuticle chemically removed. This make the hair much less likely to tangle. Take a strand of your own hair and run your fingers over it from top to bottom. The hair feels silky, right? Now, try the reverse and run your fingers up the strand. The hair feels slightly coarse and your fingers don't slide as easily as they did going down. This is because the cuticle, the outside layer of the hair, is composed of overlapping protective scales which point away from the scalp and toward the end of the hair. As hair strands rub against each other the tiny scales can cause the hair to tangle.

Human hair that has had the cuticle removed is silky and almost tangle-free, but it is not as strong as hair with the cuticle intact. You should always treat this hair gently. If you decide to dye the hair, we recommend going darker rather than lighter. Lightening is much more damaging to the hair than tinting.

Remy (or Remi) Human Hair is the complete hair strand and has not been weakened by stripping. Remy hair is created by careful processing which leaves the cuticle in place. The result is stronger, superior hair. Still, this hair has undergone some processing (such as cleaning and dyeing), so it should also be treated gently. To keep this hair in good condition, avoid lightening processes. Remy hair is more expensive than cuticle-free human hair, and is also referred to as "cuticle hair."

*Most wig hairstyles come as pictured, but not all, so to be absolutely sure please call our customer service at 916-804-1337 to inquire before ordering.

3What Hairstyles Will Look The Best With My Face Shape?

As its name implies, the Oval Shaped Face is longer than wide, with a jaw that's narrower than the cheekbones. Because the oval shaped face has no dominant areas and is so proportional, this face looks good with just about any hairstyle, length or texture.

The Round Shaped Face is characterized by a wide hairline and fullness below the cheekbones. The woman may be overweight and the neck may appear short. These faces look very good with a geometric or linear style. Add height, when possible, and long, wispy side areas to make the cheeks look narrow. Comb hair close to the head on the sides and at the nape.

The Square Shaped Face is characterized by a wide hairline and jaw. Square shaped faces need height on top and narrowness at the sides. Comb the hair off the forehead to add height to the face. Cury texture and wisps of hair around the face break the wide, straight lines common to the square face.

The Diamond Shaped Face is characterized by a narrow chin and forehead with wide cheekbones. Diamond shaped faces need narrow sides and fullness at the chin. Bobs work very well for this shape. Avoid wearing height on top or volume on the sides. Use some fringe or bangs to cover narrow forehead.

The Heart Shaped Face is characterized by a wider forehead and a narrower chin. Bring some hair onto the forehead to disguise its width. Keep hair close to the head at the eyes, but make it slightly full around the jaw, and below and in front of the earlobes.

The Pear Shaped Face is characterized by a small or narrow forehead and a rather large pouchy-appearing jawline. Comb hair to add width from the eye level through the crown of the head. Set and comb hair close to the head on the sides and at the nape.

The Oblong Shaped Face is characterized by a very long and narrow bone structure. The woman with an oblong facial shape often has a long, thin neck. Use a fringe or half-bang across the forehead by creating soft waves or curls in the crown and nape areas. This helps to create the illusion of an oval.

*Most wig hairstyles come as pictured, but not all, so to be absolutely sure please call our customer service at 916-804-1337 to inquire before ordering.

4How Do I Put On A Wig?

Take the wig out of the box and shake it gently to separate the fibers. Identify the front and back of the wig. Remember, the label goes in back. Brush your own hair back. Pin longer hair up so it is away from the front, sides, and nape of your head. A wig cap will keep hair in place.

Grasp the wig at the top back as shown:

Slip the wig over your head from hairline to neck. Adjust so that the front edge lines up with your front hairline.

The wig should feel secure, but not too tight. If necessary, adjust the elastic straps (pull towards the label to tighten, pull away from the label to loosen).

Tuck in any stray hairs, and you're done. Style as you would your own hair.

5How Do I Put On A 3/4 Cap Fall?

Comb your bangs forward along with 2 to 3 inches of the hair that frames your face. If you have short hair, use bobby pins or a small ponytail to keep the back of your hair in place. If you have long hair, secure the back with 2 or 3 flat pincurls.

Pick up the fall. There will be two sets of combs along the edge of the cap. Hold the fall with the combs facing out.

Secure the front comb at the crown and stretch the bottom comb down and anchor it in your own hair at the nape of your neck.

Blend your hair into the fall by brushing back your bangs and sides over the hairpiece.

6How Do I Put On A Jaw Clip?

Click to enlarge image(s) Put your hair in a high ponytail. If you have thick hair, make two ponytails, one placed high and the other placed just below. Place the top of the clip over your ponytail, making sure the add-on covers your own hair. (Image 2) Comb or fluff to get the style you want.

7How Do I Care For My Wig?

Proper care of your hairpiece will keep it looking healthy and new for as long as possible. Hand-tied wigs are more delicate, as each hair is hand-tied, so please handle more carefully. Aggressive brushing will cause the knots to loosen. If not treated delicately you may experience hair loss after a few months. If your wig is losing much hair within its' first month please call us and let us know.

*Special Instructions For Hand-Tied, Monofilament, & "Pull-Thru" Bases:
When washing hand-tied, monofilament, or pull-thru hairpieces, make sure to always wash and rinse with the base top-side up. Do not swish the piece up and down in the water, as the knots at the base might "push through" to the other side of the material. You want the water to pass through the base in a downward direction, from roots to ends. An easy way to accomplish this is to pin the piece to a styling block before washing.

When blocking, always use thin straight pins on the monofilament or polyurethane sections of the base. Using T-pins can leave a permanent hole in these materials.

As a general guideline, you should wash your hairpiece every 10 to 15 wearings. Once weekly for hand-tied wigs. Allowing styling products and dirt to accumulate will make your hairpiece dull and rough looking. Regular conditioning will keep your hairpiece shiny and protect it from damage.

Washing Synthetic Fiber Hairpieces
Use shampoo and conditioner specifically designed for synthetic fiber. Regular shampoos are too harsh and can dry out the fiber, leaving you with a brittle hairpiece. Wig conditioners coat and protect synthetic fiber, leaving it shiny and preventing damage and color fading. Check out our selection of shampoos and conditioners.

Fill a sink or basin with cool water and mix in a cap full or two of shampoo. Immerse your hairpiece and let it soak for five minutes.

Gently swish the hairpiece back and forth, then rinse with cool water until all the shampoo is removed.

Gently swish the hairpiece back and forth, then remove from water WITHOUT RINSING.

Refill the sink or basin with cool water and mix in a capful or two of conditioner. Immerse your hairpiece and let it soak for two minutes.

Gently blot with a towel. It's a good idea to spray your piece with a leave-in wig conditioner. Allow your hairpiece to air dry on a wig stand (a Hairspray Can can work in a pinch). You can hang add-on pieces on a hanger. DO NOT USE HEAT to dry your hairpiece. This will melt the fiber. DO NOT comb or brush the hairpiece until it is completely dry.

When dry, gently shake your hairpiece, then style as usual.

Washing Human Hair Hairpieces:
Each hairpiece made with human hair is unique. Human hair comes from a great many different individuals and it varies in thickness, texture, and degree of wave. Most hairpieces are made with human hair that has been dyed and chemically treated to remove the cuticle. This hair is more fragile than hair in its original state and must be treated gently in order to keep it looking good. Human hair that retains the cuticle is called Remy Hair. Remy Hair is stronger than cuticle-free hair, but is still more fragile than unprocessed hair.

Conditioning is crucial to maintaining the look and longevity of your human hair hairpiece. Always use shampoo and conditioner designed for color-treated or damaged hair.

Human hair wigs should be washed in cool to lukewarm water with a mild shampoo and conditioner. (Using conditioner is highly recommended to reduce tangling.) Do not scrub the wig, just immerse the hairpiece for five minutes and then swish it from side to side and dunk it up and down. Then rinse with cool water until all shampoo is removed.

Remove hairpiece from sink and spray with a high-quality leave-in conditioner.

Blot hair with a towel and put it on a styling block or wig stand. Run a wide-toothed comb gently through the hair to give it root direction. If you use rollers, you can put the piece under a hot dryer or you can let it air dry naturally. After it dries, you can use styling brushes and curling irons.

Wigs should be hung to dry. (Human hair wigs may also be set when wet. See Styling below.)

Once dry, spray sheen or detangling spray onto the wig and comb or brush depending on the type of wig you have (See Combing and Brushing below).

Setting:
Human hair wigs can be set quite easily by following these instructions:

  • After washing, comb the hair (as instructed below) then set in rollers with rolling papers and setting lotion.
  • Put the wig under a sitting hair drier on low heat for 40 to 50 minutes. If you do not have access to a sitting drier, the wig may be left on a wig stand (smaller than wig) overnight or until completely dried.
  • Once dry, take out the rollers and style the wig as desired.
  • Styling:
Hot tools may be used on human hair wigs. Hot blow driers, curling irons, flat irons and similar tools may be used in the same way as they would on your regular hair. Most wig caps are designed to be unaffected by heat. Additional care must be taken when styling a wig with a skin-like cap as the plastic in the cap material can melt under heat.

If wig hair gets frizzy, try any sheen spray or wig spray to calm the frizziness and then comb. If not, wash then set with setting lotion to get the frizziness out. When wigs are tangled, use any detangling or sheen spray then comb the hair.

    Combing and Brushing:
Comb or brush your wig using the following guidelines*:
    Length Style Style With
Short Straight / Wavy Any combs or brushes
Short Curly Wide-toothed comb or brush out with fingers
Chin Length Straight Any combs or brushes
Chin Length Curly / Wavy Wide-toothed comb or brush out with fingers
Shoulder Length Straight Any combs or brushes
Shoulder Length Curly / Wavy Wide-toothed comb
Long / Very Long Straight / Wavy Wide-toothed comb
Long / Very Long Curly Brush out with fingers

    * Important Note: Spiral curl and dreadlock wigs should not be combed or brushed in any way, as this will undo the curls/dreads.

Hair Products Any hair products can be used on wigs, such as hair spray, mousse, gel, etc. since the wigs are washable and reusable.

    Wig Storage
While wigs are not in use, they may be stored in a hair net and plastic bag or on a wig stand (smaller than your wig to avoid stretching. When traveling, a styled wig may be carried in a wig box to prevent flattening.

Human hair manufacturer's highly recommend to not sleep in your wigs. This can cause inversion (where hair is coming through inside of cap) and often results in hair loss and/or breakage in the back. As sleeping in the wig can cause matting, brushing can cause breakage, and hand-tied knots can untie, also causing damage/tears to the cap. Please take this into consideration when purchasing your wig(s).

*Note: Blonde hair colors are also more fragile than dark, making the possibility of breakage greater.

8More Human Hair Wig Care Instructions

To ensure your new human hair wig will look its best for the longest possible time, please follow these simple care instructions.

COMB OUT TANGLES - Before washing your wig, always use a wide-tooth comb to get rid of tangles. Start combing from the ends of the hair and slowly work your way to the top. This will help to avoid breakage from tugging on the hair.

WIG BLOCKING & PINNING - Using ball-head pins and your care mannequin, secure your wig with pins at the top, both templates and both sides of the nape. Ensure that the wig is flush to the care mannequin so that it is properly 'blocked' from water pressure.

WETTING & SHAMPOOING - First, completely wet your hair so that there are no dry parts. Once the hair is wet, soak shampoo into the hair by stroking it down from the top to the tips. Never use circular motions! Your hands should always follow the natural direction of the hair when ou wash your wig.

RINSE, CONDITION, RINSE - Do NOT apply conditioner to the roots! Putting conditioner to near the roots can cause the knots to loosen. Keep conditioner a minimum of 1" away from the roots. Rinse shampoo completely from the hair. Work a generous amount of conditioner into the hair starting at the ends and working your way up. Stroke your hands gently through the hair to distribute the conditioner. Rinse well.

TOWEL DRY & AIR DRY - Once hair is free of product, use a towel to pat and squeeze out the excess water. Do not rub. Then follow the three step guide below and air dry your wig overnight.

  1. Lay flat on towel
  2. Fold both sides over
  3. Gently twist towel

After you have towel dried the wig, put it back on your mannequin to air dry overnight. It is preferable to let your wig air dray as heat styling tools are not healthy for human hair.

STYLING WITH HOT TOOLS
Because human hair wigs do not grow as natural hair does, we do not recommend styling your hair with hot tools. Over time, heat will damage human hair even if used carefully. However, if you choose to style with hot tools here are some guidelines:

*Use a heat protectant spray, but be prepared to wash your hair more often. (Hair products attract dirt, sweat and pollutants which cause breakage. If you use any kind of hair products you will need to wash your wig every 1-2 days to prevent that build up. Keep products at least 1" away from the base of the wig.

*Blow dry on medium-high (80-100 degrees Fahrenheit / 27-38 degrees Celsius)

*Flat irons should be set no higher than 350 degrees Fahrenheit / 177 degrees Celsius

*Curling irons and wands should be set no higher than 300 degrees Fahrenheit / 149 degrees Celsius
